A FEW GROUND RULES
Play fair. Draw strange.
Effective 8 September 2026
Slipglyph is a casual drawing game operated by Robert Jakobsson. Contact bobban@protonmail.com for questions. The iPhone app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These terms describe the game and website; they do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
The game
Slipglyph gives you shapes to trace under transformed drawing controls. Scores describe similarity to a target; they are entertainment, not a test of intelligence, health, or ability. Daily challenges use the UTC calendar date. Free play and replays are unlimited. Device settings and software versions can affect input and results. There are no prizes, cash stakes, competitive rankings, or financial rewards.
Free play and optional Studio purchase
The daily challenge, free play, tutorial, local collection, and result sharing are free. Studio is an optional, non-consumable, one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the Ultraviolet, Glacier and Guava palettes for gameplay and share cards. It does not improve scores or provide extra attempts. The App Store shows the applicable localized price before you confirm a purchase. It is not a subscription.
Payments are handled by Apple. Purchase access is tied to the Apple Account used to buy it. Use Studio → Restore Purchases on a compatible device to recover access. Internet access and the same Apple Account may be required. Family Sharing is not offered for Studio. A refund or revoked transaction removes access to the extra palettes. Apple’s rules and mandatory consumer protections apply to purchases and refunds; see Apple’s refund service.
Your drawings and local storage
You retain any rights you have in your drawings. We do not claim ownership of your strokes or upload them. You choose whether to share. Your local collection holds up to 180 finished challenges and can be erased in Settings. Older entries are removed when the limit is reached. We cannot recover drawings that are erased or lost with your device. Manage your own backups if you wish to retain them.
Using the website and share links
The website includes a small browser preview and links that open challenges in the installed iPhone app. A challenge link encodes a puzzle seed. Browser preview scores are separate from the iPhone game. You may share your own results. Do not misrepresent affiliation with Slipglyph or use its services in ways that interfere with others or violate applicable law. We do not host a public content feed or in-game messaging.
Availability and intellectual property
Slipglyph’s software, name, logo, and original interface are owned by their respective rights holders. You receive the rights granted by the applicable app license. Mandatory legal exceptions remain unaffected. Website availability and compatibility may change, and maintenance can interrupt access. The core iPhone game operates offline after installation; purchasing, restoration, external support pages and some sharing destinations require connectivity.
Consumer protections and changes
Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable EU consumer rights. We do not promise a particular score, uninterrupted online service, or that an app version will work on every future device. Material changes will be dated on this page. Your statutory rights concerning purchases and digital content remain in force. Contact support if a paid feature fails to work.
